I've been horrible!

I know, I know. I should blog daily, but life just sometimes gets in the way. What is new in my life? Nothing really. I have been busy working on custom orders and trying to stay dry here in Chicago. Last night I found out that my crazy dog is petrified of umbrellas. She was a shelter dog so who knows what the other people did to her. We had to take her out without the umbrella. Both doggie and humans were soaked. Hope this finds everyone well.

As always,

I'm exhausted!

Well, I had a booth at Buffalo Grove Days this week-end. It was fun, made a lot of good contacts, made some sales, but I am beat!!! It was close to 90 degrees every day!
I have to start making some custom orders this week, but am going to wait until tomorrow since I don't think I can see straight anymore.
I hope everyone's week-end was nice and airconditioned! Have a great evening!!!

Will not be blogging this weekend!

I will be at Buffalo Grove Days this weekend. I have a booth setup and be (hopefully) way too tired from all the sales to blog. Be back Tuesday!

T-shirt for upcoming craft fair

I just made t-shirts for my employee (aka Mom) and I for the craft fair we are doing this week-end. They turned out awesome. I took a photo of a rose, made iron on transfers using freezer paper, and did a reverse transfer of the flower. I am so excited about the shirts and the fact that it only cost me $8 for two great shirts advertising my business! I will post pictures when the shirts dry.

How to make a team spirit wreath!

This can only be given as gifts to freinds and family (or yourself), because otherwise you are infringing on copyright laws!

(Note - The picture is of a doggie ribbon wreath instead of a team spirit wreath. The exact same techniques were used though in this piece.)

Materials:
1 styrofoam face wreath
25 yards of satin and or grosgrain ribbon in the team colors
Any little things you can find with the team logo or related to the sport (little helmets, coasters with the logo, foam footballs etc.)
Hot Glue
Super Glue or Gorilla Glue

Screwdriver or Small Scissors

1. Cut the ribbon in about 4" long pieces. I do not measure. Wrap the ribbon around your hand and cut at both sides of your hand using good scissors. Repeat with the other ribbons.
2. Grab your scissors or screwdriver.

3. Grab your handy dandy glue gun.

4. To insert ribbon into foam, apply a dot of hot glue on center of ribbon strip, place strip on wreath and use scissors or screwdriver to poke center of strip into foam. Repeat until full.

5. Using your superglue or gorilla glue, attach any emblishments like helmet or logos.

6. Hang with pride!

I feel handcuffed to the computer today!

I have been working on my online storefront ALL day. My eyes feel like they are going to explode and I now have a permanent indention of my behind on the chair, so this will be all I type tonight. I hope anyone who reads this is doing well. TTFN

Dream Interpatation Anyone

Last night, I had the strangest dream. I paint paper mache pumpkins and arrange flowers in them for the fall. I was dreaming that I sold a few because of their lightweight properties. In my dream they were capable of flight since they were so lightweight. It was very strange and I had to wake up laughing remembering the dream!
